You're in good company

Thank you for agreeing to be a guest on my podcast for smart and capable women who want to create an independent income doing work they love for people they care about. All my guests are brilliant. If you would like a direct intro to any guest, past or future, please let me know!

We will hold our conversation on Zoom and the show will normally be live within a week or so of recording.

Who is it for?

My goal with the podcast is to build a helpful resource library that all women in business will find inspiring, helpful and interesting.

  • Entrepreneurs
  • Creatives
  • Local Business Owners
  • Freelancers

What Kind of Questions Will You Ask?

Great question! For each guest, I will tailor the questions to you and your business. I won't have a set list of questions that I will be checking off as we go, but I will have a list of questions that are pertinent to you and your business that I will be guided by and I will share those with you in plenty of time before our conversation so that you aren't caught off guard.

However, there is one thing that I will start every conversation with...

Each interview, I will ask you to bring along something that is special and meaningful to you and share it with our audience, including why it is special.

For example, it might be a teddy bear you have had since childhood, a photo of your first dog, a piece of jewellery or even a book. It doesn't matter what it is, just that it is something that is special and meaningful to you.

The other questions will be mostly about your business experiences, with a few human interest questions as people love those! I guess we are all a little bit nosey 🤣

A few example questions are:

  • What excites you most about your business right now?
  • When did you start your business and what was your inspiration for doing so?
  • Best piece of advice you have been given and by whom?
  • What is your favourite tool of the trade or "thing" that you use in your business and why?
  • What is one of your proudest moments or biggest successes?
  • What’s the best way to get started in your industry?
  • What advice would you give to fellow business owners?
  • If you could meet anybody who would it be and why?
  • What was your biggest, most painful failure, and what did you learn from it, was there an unexpected gift from this experience?

What to Expect...

Think of it as a relaxed and friendly conversation -  two friends sharing their stories and experiences as women in business...

Although I will have a series of questions to guide me during our conversations, it is not a rigid Q&A session! I will follow the conversation, keeping our audience in mind and respecting your boundaries.

Our zoom will be scheduled for an hour - this will give us time to relax and check the sound before starting recording and then to have a brief chat afterwards so that I can make sure that you are happy with our conversation. I will aim for the podcasts themselves to be approximately 20-30 minutes long.

Many women often feel isolated in business, we tend to think that we are the only ones going through the difficulties and challenges that we face and battle on without anyone to talk to.

Hearing where you struggled and how you overcame your challenges will give other women inspiration and tools to better navigate their journeys.

I will only ask you to share what you feel comfortable with, please ask me if you want guidance. Think more along the lines of what you struggled with and how you overcame it, your "scars", rather than your "open wounds". It's real conversations like this that help other women feel less alone on their journey.

It's not all about the challenges, I want to share a lighter side to as well as raising awareness of your work and business.

Please use this podcast as a marketing asset and tool to connect and reconnect with others.

My final question will always be "What are you working on next?"

Please use the podcast as a promotional platform. I'll let my subscribers know what you're up to, and I'll share it on my social channels, I hope that you will do the same.

Let me know in advance if there's anything you particularly want to talk about, or any subject we need to avoid talking about. The podcasts aren't live, so if you say something that you'd like to try again, let me know and we'll do that.

You can see examples of the types of questions that I will ask here: https://flourishspotlight.paperform.co

Don't worry, I will NOT be asking all of those questions if we have a conversation, but it will give you an idea of the kind of questions that I will ask.

(That is for the written spotlight features for those who really don't want to speak in person, please don't fill it in unless you would much rather just do a written spotlight.)

Camera Shy?

I get it, some people are camera shy or just get all self-conscious about these things. If that's you and you would rather just do a written spotlight feature on my blog (with all the links to your website and social profiles), then click the button below...
